2. HANDS ON TEAMTRAINING-COURSE IN ERGONOMICS
(WITH A
WORK WELL,
SAVE TIME AND ENERGY,
WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER
DUO OR DUO-SOLO
SEE WELL, SIT WELL –
The course may be held in your practise.
A “hands on” course with intensive teamtraining for dentists and their
assistants.
The course can be held for your team alone or or together with other
teams.
F. ex. two teams pr workingplace, max 3 workingplaces with altogether 6
teams.
A team is a dentist with 1 or 2 assistants.
Duration: 8 hours with short
pauses.
After an introduction the course presents short demonstrations followed
by repeated practical exercises with simulated patient-treatment and
individual counselling.
SUBJECTS.
The relation between direction of vision, visual distance, position of
the head of the patient and position of dentist and assistant.
Position of unit, and aspirationsystem.
Handinstrumentshape and form, instrumentgrip, fingersupport and the
influence on your sittingposition.
Relation between visual distance and instrumentgrip
Glasses based on bad mechanical or optical construction as a health
risk.
Work with mirror, spray etc,’
Aspiration and retraction-methodes. Use of multifunctional syringe.
Fourhanded instrumenttransfer. Integration of unitinstruments in the
transfer.
Working methodes for specific tasks.
The clinic-PROTOCOLLE as the base of teamwork.
The working place of the assistant.
Handinstrumenttable position and flexibility
Assistants working-table top—for sitting work – size and exact position.
Position of drawer-element.
Placement of materials and handinstruments.
Principle of use of material-trayes.
Handinstrumenttrayes
Dentist working place for DUO work and changing DUO/SOLO work.
Principles for SOLO-WORK.
Aspiration tube for solo-work. Retraction and fingersupport.
Position of handinstruments.
Handinstrument grip.
Placement of materials and instruments.
Functions of left and right hand of dentist.
This course is the solution to the basic question. “How do I improve my
practical working methods”
One thing is to see demonstrations of working methods, something quite
different is to take the methods in use. This is what you learn in this
course. Basic methods and techniques are (like in a dancing-school)
repeated so many times that you achieve a beginning “automatication” of
the manual working-methods.
Many think it may be very difficult to change manual working methods. My
experience is however that it can be done in ONE DAY followed by
repeating the training say 45 minutes every second day the week after
the course.
This course teaches you to win a lot of time and energy by a well
organized and dynamic teamwork. Furthermore you learn to work in
healthy, relaxed and less tiring working-positions.
Optimal ergonomics is a precondition for quality and positive
patient-experiences.
By participating in this TEAMTRAINING COURSE IN ERGONOMICS you can
achieve:
working methods and teamwork by the treatment chair is optimal
to maintain undisturbed concentration with your professional task.
to work in better workingpositions and prevent occupational diseases.
less fatigue, win energy and time and have -----
to improve teamspirit and return with new inspirations to you daily
work.
to give your patients a better experience and better “total quality”
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
The course begins with a 1 hour demonstrations of principles for fine
working-positions. Risks and inconviniences and reasons to this is
demonstrated.
The workingpositions is a result of the interaction between direction of
vision, visual distance, patient-position, dentists-position,
instrumentform, instrumentgrip and fingersupport.
It is demonstrated how your working-positions can be improved by a
changed interaction of all these factors.
The following part of the course consists of short demonstrations
followed by practical exercises with simulated treatments performed by a
dentist and his/her assistant. A dental assistant is “patient” and a
dentist is “supervisor” who assures that the practical exercise is made
correctly. At the same time the dentist learn to evaluate “practical
work” based on ergonomic criteria
Then there is focus on the dynamic cooperation between dentist and
dental assistant.
The fourhanded instrumenttransfer is trained by a sequence of exercises-
first without “patient” later with “patient”. The exercises are repeated
so many times, that dentist and assistant achieves a biginning routine.
The objective is that you – by teamwork on high level – can work with -
FULL AND UNDISTURBED CONCENTRATION ON YOU PROFESSIONAL TASK
IN THE MOUTH OF THE PATIENT.
This implies that the dentist
DOES NOT NEED TO LOOK AWAY OR REACH AWAY FROM THE PATIENT,
EVERYTHING IS TRANSFERRED TO THE HAND OF THE DENTIST – WITHOUT ANY
DELAY.
This objective is achieved by training the methodes of fourhanded
dentistry, by a number of exercises.
SOLO instrumentgrip, retraction and aspiration methodes are trained.
At last there is demonstrated assistance by different treatments like
scaling, composite in molars and endodontic treatment.
Basic principles of the working-place for dentist and assistante is
demonstrated like principles for organizing materials and
handinstruments.
The course can be adjusted to your individual wishes and needs.
At the same time as the course is directed towards working-positions and
effective treatment-methodes we have a lot of attention to a caring
patient-treatment.
It is very important to work with precise
and friendly movement so the touching, we call a treatment is as
friendly and caring as possible.
The course is very relevant for your daily practise and you learn a lot
of methods ready to take into use.
It a intensive, engaging and entertaining course.
Call, write or mail if you
want a course and information on price etc.
